CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY IN LONDON

SUPPORTING NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION, STRESS RECOVERY & PHYSICAL BALANCE

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on therapy that works with the nervous system and the body’s natural ability to regulate and restore itself.

When stress becomes prolonged, the body can remain in a heightened state of alert — often described as fight-or-flight or “red alert.” Over time, this can show up as physical tension, anxiety, disrupted sleep, pain, emotional overwhelm, or a general sense of being unable to switch off.

Craniosacral Therapy supports the nervous system to shift out of this persistent activation and into a more balanced, regulated state.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, CST works with the underlying systems of the body — allowing calm, clarity, and physical ease to return.

You don’t need to fully understand how it works — most people simply notice they feel calmer, more settled, and less tense after a session.

How Craniosacral Therapy May Help

People come for Craniosacral Therapy for many different reasons, including:

• stress and anxiety
• trauma and nervous system overload
• headaches and migraines
• jaw tension (TMJ)
• neck and shoulder tension
• sleep difficulties
• fatigue and burnout
• chronic tension held in the body

Some clients also come simply to support overall well-being during demanding periods of life.

Why Nervous System Regulation Matters

WHY NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION MATTERS

Your nervous system influences how you:

  • respond to stress

  • process emotions

  • experience pain

  • sleep and recover

  • hold or release tension

When it remains in high alert for too long, even minor stressors can feel amplified.

You might notice:

  • persistent stress or anxiety

  • difficulty relaxing

  • jaw, neck, or shoulder tension

  • headaches or migraines

  • back discomfort

  • sleep disturbance

  • digestive sensitivity

  • a feeling of being “wired” or on edge

Craniosacral Therapy supports your system to feel safe enough to begin softening these patterns.

A Nervous System–Focused Approach

My work focuses on helping the body shift out of prolonged “fight-or-flight” activation.

During a session, gentle contact supports the body in releasing tension and reconnecting with a sense of internal balance. Many people notice their breathing slows, muscles soften, and the body begins to feel calmer.

As the nervous system settles, clients often report feeling:

• more relaxed and grounded
• clearer in their thinking
• less physically tense
• better able to sleep and recover

Changes can sometimes be subtle at first and build gradually over a series of sessions.

HOW CST WORKS

Using gentle contact, I work with the body’s natural processes to support the nervous system in returning to a more balanced state.

This approach can help the body to:

• down-regulate from fight-or-flight
• release held physical tension
• improve communication between the brain and body
• increase body awareness
• restore balance gradually and safely

The process is not forced or manipulated. It allows your system to unwind at its own pace.

Many people experience a deep sense of calm during sessions, while others notice more gradual changes over time.

What Conditions Can Benefit

Craniosacral Therapy is commonly sought for support with:

  • stress and anxiety

  • trauma-related tension patterns

  • chronic pain or restriction

  • headaches and migraines

  • jaw (TMJ) tension

  • neck and back discomfort

  • sleep difficulties

  • emotional overwhelm

  • nervous system sensitivity

While CST does not “treat” conditions in isolation, it supports the underlying regulatory systems that influence them.

My Approach

My work is grounded in a calm, therapeutic environment combined with a structured, clinical understanding of nervous system function.

Each session includes:

• a thorough consultation
• gentle craniosacral contact
• attention to tension patterns and stress responses
• guidance where helpful
• space for your body to settle and respond

No two sessions are the same — your body sets the pace.

For those experiencing tinnitus linked to stress or nervous system sensitivity, I also offer a structured pathway through my Red Alert → Regulation™ programme.

What to Expect in a Session

  • Sessions take place in a quiet, comfortable environment at my East London practice.

  • You remain fully clothed while lying on a treatment couch. Using gentle contact, I work with the natural rhythms of the body to help release tension and support the nervous system.

  • Many people experience sessions as deeply relaxing and leave feeling calmer, lighter or more grounded. Some people notice subtle shifts in the body, such as warmth, softening of tension, or a growing sense of calm as the nervous system begins to settle.

  • Some notice changes immediately, while others experience them over a series of sessions.

  • Each session is tailored to the individual, depending on what the body presents at the time.

A Gradual Process

  • While some people notice changes after a single session, Craniosacral Therapy often works best as a process over time.

  • A short course allows the nervous system to settle progressively and gives the body time to integrate change.

  • Typically, I recommend around 5–7 sessions to feel some lasting meaningful change, depending on the individual.

  • Block bookings are available for those wishing to commit to a course.

Session Length and Fees

Craniosacral Therapy sessions are 60 minutes.

Single session
£80

Block bookings (recommended)
4 sessions — £300
6 sessions — £450

While some people benefit from a one-off session, Craniosacral Therapy is typically most effective when received as a series, allowing the nervous system time to settle and integrate. For those wishing to continue treatment, discounted block bookings are available when sessions are booked in advance. Typically, I recommend around 5–7 sessions, depending on the individual and what you’re coming in with.

Block bookings are payable in advance and valid for 3 months.

These courses support:

  • deeper nervous system regulation

  • more consistent progress

  • better long-term outcomes

Sessions are usually taken weekly or fortnightly, depending on your needs.

Extended / Combined Sessions

90-Minute Session (Craniosacral Therapy / Reflexology / Combined)
£110

A longer session allows for a more integrated treatment, combining both approaches for deeper relaxation and nervous system support.

Payment is required in advance to secure your appointment. A 48-hour cancellation policy applies.

In-Person & Online Support

Craniosacral Therapy sessions are offered in person at my private practice in East London.

For clients who are unable to attend in person or who would like additional structured support between sessions, I also offer online nervous system education and regulation guidance. (coming soon)
